Year 5 visit Norwich Castle

We had a lovely day today finding out about the past. We were archaeologists involved in a real 'dig', as well as hunters during the Iceni period. Before investigating the castle keep and gaol, we discovered artefacts on the Saxon and Viking trail. All had a great day and have come home with a voucher for a free adult visit. We know the children would absolutely love to go again....

Year 5 Family Assembly

Year 5 welcomed their families into school today to share their work. This week they have been learning all about Thunder and Lightning. They explained the science behind it, the art they have created, the ICT they used and the music that was composed.

It was a very successful sharing of learning and the children were very excited to welcome everybody into school. We hope that you enjoyed it too!

Well done to all the children for their hard work this week.

Beat Bullying

This week, all children in school have been given a blue 'BeatBullying' wristband. Work has also been done in assembly on Monday and Wednesday to discuss the subject of bullying and what to do if you think you're being bullied.

6P's Paper Tower Challenge

As part of their PSHE topic 'getting on and falling out', 6P talked about how to successfully work together in groups, as they identified that this is often when it proves to be challenging to get on with everyone. They came up with their own success criteria and put it to the test in the paper tower challenge. The challenge was to build the tallest tower out of newspaper and sellotape in 5 minutes.

One person in each group was selected to be the observer. They had the task of making notes about how well the group were working.

Children In Need - £261.46!!

Today has been exciting, fun and we could say a spotty day but it wasn't only based on spots! The children could either wear their pyjamas, spots or have wacky hair. It was a great success thanks to our school council.
Our charity and events co-coordinator, Rosa, has been a great help organising this event, our chair and secretary (Chloe and Libby) were also a great help.
Thank you to all who took part to raise this amazing amount.

Year 4's Parents Best Effort

Year 4 invited parents in today to share their learning over the last 2 weeks. The children chose what they wanted to share, what they were going to say and put together a whole year group assembly where everybody had a role. We were really pleased to see so many parents in the audience and the children all did a fantastic job. Well done Year 4 and thank you to all who came to support them!
